Hive is an award winning curatorial collective founded by curators Anaïs Janze Natera, Jeanie Black, Natalie Nicolaides, Isabelle Thul, and Bilyana Palankasova. The five curators who make up Hive met while studying on the same Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) course delivered jointly by the Glasgow School of Art and the University of Glasgow. Recognising a common interest in finding more ethical and environmentally sustainable methods of exhibition making and curatorial research, they decided to join forces as a collective. Sharing knowledge, resources and skills is the basis of the Hive curatorial collective. This Hive has no queen but many worker bees working both collaboratively and individually but always in love and support of each other.
